Dr. Khaled Benkrid is Director of Education and Research at ARM Ltd, Cambridge, England. Prior to joining ARM in 2013, he was Associate Professor in Electronic Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, UK, where he taught and researched extensively in the areas of computer engineering, business management and entrepreneurship.
Khaled has authored/co-authored over 100 papers in major international conferences and journals in the areas of computer science and engineering. In his current role at Arm, he leads a worldwide team in charge of developing and marketing rigorous academic content for universities and schools worldwide using state-of-the-art technologies and tools from the vast ARM eco-system. He is also very active in the development of new pedagogical approaches and business models in teaching and training, particularly in the areas of computer science and electrical/electronic engineering. One of his great passions is to develop solid systems and methodologies to help induce creativity and innovation, ultimately to create new knowledge and wealth.
Khaled holds a PhD degree in Computer Science, a Master degree in Electronic Engineering with Distinction, and an Executive MBA with Distinction. He is a Chartered UK Engineer and a Senior Member of IEEE.
